I have been blessed to have had three “careers” in my adult lifetime. My first was in Sales and Marketing. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Marketing, I worked in Pharmaceutical Sales for several years.
My second career was in Domestic Engineering. I became a stay at home mom to raise two very rambunctious boys; while homeschooling my older son and working with my younger son (who has Down Syndrome) to reach developmental milestones. I also have “raised” two rescue dogs, Roo and Buddy.
My current and most favored career is serving others as a “People-helper” in the Mental Health field. My passion is to help hurting people navigate their journey to mental wellness. Some may think that as a Mental Health Practitioner, I have answers to life’s most difficult questions. However, like you, I have been lost and alone in the dark and dingy trenches of life’s overwhelming moments. I have been able to navigate through these experiences by leaning into my faith as a Christian. It was through this belief system that I was able to walk through the pain and suffering in order to reach the peace that was found on the other side. Learning how to traverse the pain and suffering of loss, abandonment, isolation, failure, uncertainty, and disappointment is something that we all go through as human beings.
As a provider, it is my privilege to help clients develop the tools that they need for their mental health journey in order to find peace. Together, we will look at the “tools” you have in your backpack, evaluate their effectiveness in getting you to where you want to go, and make course corrections as needed. I look forward to joining you on your journey!
